Istituite le ZES, c’è anche Misilmeri

Il Ministro per il Sud e la Coesione territoriale, Giuseppe Provenzano, ha firmato il decreto istitutivo delle ZES Zone Economiche Speciali per la Regione Siciliana. In Sicilia saranno due, una per la Sicilia Orientale e una per la Sicilia Occidentale, per un totale di quasi 6 mila ettari, tra aree portuali, retroportuali e aree di sviluppo industriale.

L’obiettivo – viene spiegato in una nota – è quello di attrarre investimenti in particolar modo nell’ambito dell’economia “portuale” in settori come la logistica, i trasporti ed il commercio, e di accompagnare la transizione ecologica degli insediamenti produttivi, attraverso una drastica semplificazione amministrativa e la possibilità di accedere a forti sgravi fiscali. Si tratta del passaggio finale di un percorso che ha visto l’impegno del ministero per il Sud e la Coesione territoriale per velocizzare l’iter di approvazione delle ZES, in piena e leale collaborazione istituzionale con la Regione Sicilia.

Nella Zes della Sicilia occidentale ricade anche MISILMERI. Le altre zone sono Aragona-Favara, Calatafimi, Caltanissetta, Caltavuturo, Campofelice di Rocella, Carini con l’area Rimed, Cinisi, Custonaci, Gibellina, il porto di Licata, Marsala, l’aeroporto di Birgi, Mazara del Vallo, il porto e il retroporto di Palermo (a cui si aggiungono le aree di Brancaccio, Partanna-Mondello e dell’Arenella), Palma di Montechiaro, Partinico, Porto Empedocle (con il porto e il retro-porto), Ravanusa, Salemi, Serradifalco, Termini Imerese (con il suo agglomerato industriale e il porto), Trapani (con il porto, il retro-porto, l’agglomerato industriale e l’area logistica).
