Antonio Cottone è il nuovo Presidente della “Don Carlo Misilmeri”

Antonio Cottone, imprenditore palermitano ma dalle origini misilmeresi è il nuovo presidente della Società sportiva “Don Carlo Misilmeri”.

A darne la notizia il presidente uscente, Antonino Rattenuti, che dopo cinque anni lascia il sodalizio misilmerese.

“Sono stati anni bellissimi, pieni di emozioni forti – scrive in un post su face book, Rattenuti –. Ringrazio tutti i giocatori con cui sono stato molto legato, gli staff tecnici con cui ho collaborato e con cui abbiamo messo al primo posto sempre i valori fondamentali: il rispetto per l’avversario, per la maglia, per il gruppo, per la società e per i tifosi.

Abbiamo vinto davvero tanto in questi anni – continua Rattenuti –. Il percorso è stato difficile ma affascinante, una piazza come Misilmeri meritava l’Eccellenza. Ce lo siamo posti e ci siamo riusciti. Il ruolo del presidente è molto difficile, bisogna accontentare tutti senza scontentare nessuno, guardando al budget, all’immagine della società, ai tifosi e al rapporto con i giocatori.

Oggi è il turno di Antonio Cottone, una persona carismatica che ha lo sport nel sangue, ma soprattutto ha la competenza per gestire un’azienda e anche una società in una piazza esigente come il Misilmeri . In questi cinque anni i misilmeresi ci hanno seguito e supportato sempre di più. In questo senso, voglio rivolgere il mio più caloroso ringraziamento al gruppo Ultras Don Carlo che sono sicuro non farà mancare mai l’appoggio alla Don Carlo Misilmeri in ogni suo componente.

Mi rivolgo anche all’amministrazione comunale, che ringrazio per i sacrifici e il lavoro che hanno svolto in questi anni per il rifacimento dell’impianto di Piano Stoppa. Chiunque guiderà il nostro paese dovrà tenere sempre a mente una cosa: la Don Carlo è un patrimonio di Misilmeri e dei misilmeresi, per cui chiedo sempre e in ogni luogo la massima vicinanza alla squadra e alla società.

Da oggi sarò, se me lo permettete il primo tifoso. In bocca al lupo Antonio e forza Don Carlo Misilmeri”.

Cottone è presidente Fipe Confcommercio Palermo e proprietario del ristorante ‘La Braciera’ e già sponsor del club misilmerese.
